Your entire life, you focus on your own eating habits. You have to make sure you're choosing healthy options, getting enough of the different food groups, and giving your body what it needs. I don't know about you, but doing that for myself was hard enough.
Now that I'm a mom, someone else needs me to make those choices for them. And it's absolutely insane how much a baby's eating habits change. They start off needing milk or formula, then purees, then actual table foods. But even with that, there are so many different ways you can go about introducing your baby to new foods. Between baby-lead weaning, not introducing solids until blank amount of months, and even cutting up their food into the smallest-sized pieces (which I have to admit I do from time to time), there are SO many ways you can choose to introduce your baby to foods.
I have basically introduced Mila to the majority of the "scary" allergens. I'll be discussing how I did so in a separate blog post.
Mila has foods that she prefers, and foods that she definitely attempts to stay away from. Vegetables have been a difficult one for us, and I'm actually beginning my own journey of forcing vegetables back into her diet. Wish me luck.
I try to include her favorite foods as much as possible, while also giving her a healthy variety. I try to make them fun and easy, which is extremely important when you have a spitfire like Mila.
I'll be posting the food that she has, whether it be home-made or made in a restaurant, and hopefully give you some ideas that you can implement in your own home!
